een Breack- en Streetdance show in theater 'de Schalm' in Veldhoven:
"Snowwhite and the 7 B-Boys".
Alan en Andri deden er ook in mee!

Zo, en nu een......

Afgelopen 15 juni 2005 hebben er hier in Eindhoven een aantal studenten bedacht dat ze iets nuttigs met al hun 12.000 lege bierkratten moesten doen. Welnu, het bouwen van een flinke brug over de Dommel en daarmee het wereldrecord zetten. Het is hen gelukt!



(en natuurlijk missen we op deze foto nog heeeeel veel medewerkers)

Aryo en koninginnedag

Aryo voor het eerst, trots met z'n versierde fiets, in de koninginnedag optocht in onze wijk.
Vader en moeder mochten op zijn aanwijzingen helpen, maar owee als er een strik of balon teveel aan z'n fiets zat.
Het moest er meteen af (tot frustratie van z'n moeder die het zo mooi wilde aankleden).

Stoer zoals hij het beslist zelf wilde!


Hij wilde perse als beste uit de bus komen, en dat was op z'n gezicht af te lezen...


Missie volbracht, moe maar voldaan....

Esta Loco

Rembert de Smet tijdens het optreden met zijn Esta Loco op het Wilhelmina-plein in Eindhoven, 5 september 2004 tijdens 'Un dia de Feria' .
Naast vlammende Flamenco wist hij zelfs ook nog even zijn 'Lena Lena' (uit zijn tijd met de 'Twee Belgen') in een Spaanse uitvoering te brengen!

koninginnedag 2004

Last Queensday (april 30th) I took again my camera with me. After I got my family I rarely had time for taking photographs on happenings like this. Or was that just an excuse for getting lazy? Ok, let's take it up again. I had already a destinity for a 'Queensday' photo: In my company (ASML Veldhoven) we make a calendar every year from photo's taken by the employees. Theme of next year is 'local festivities'. Well, I think our Queensday in Holland is a typical dutch festivity don't you? And if this photo is typical for our Queensday? I don't know, but it's a nice scene anyway!

This picture isn't yet available on my photo homepage but it was published on the ASML calender of 2003.
It's a typical view on daily life of people in Indonesia. You will see people sleeping always and everywere. But maybe this one is just short sighted....?

I'm bussy scanning my photo's from Sulawesie, and will publish them soon on my photo.bastiaanssen.com page. By doing this I've finished the publisching of the best photos of my travelling through Java, Bali, Lombok and Sulawesie in 1996 and 1997.



I found this boy on the beach near Bira, in the south end of Sulawesie. Around here there's shipsyard where they still build (very big) wooden ships.
